At Booleans, we’re proud of our team’s deep expertise, but we’re just as proud of their passions outside of work. We believe that a healthy, balanced life doesn’t just co-exist with a great career—it fuels it, and few people embody this philosophy better than Yashpreet.
What stands out in her story is her passion for personal well-being and her role as a true cultural champion. We sat down with her to talk about how she manages a healthy work-life balance, busts the myths of consulting, and brings her whole self to the Booleans family.

What does a healthy work-life balance mean to you?

“For me, it’s when you can find the right balance between your personal and professional life and adjust your schedules in a way that you grow professionally, but you also grow personally.
If I feel physically fit, I am more energized, I’m more focused, and I can even deliver quality work at Booleans. I think this is what the organization is all about, so in that way, I feel this balance actually fits well with the Booleans lifestyle.”

How do you personally maintain a good balance between physical and mental well-being?

“I have what I call my ‘escape window.’ One day I go for a dance class, one day I go for running, or to the gym, or for swimming. That gives me a nice mental and physical break.
It also gives me some time to rethink my ideas, and then I can always come back and focus on work to even do the quality work that I’m doing. You need that break mentally.”

So the focus is more on the result than the hours?

“Exactly. The organization supports me in a way that it doesn’t matter when you are going to complete it. It matters the quality work that you are completing, that you know your responsibility, and you fulfill that in time. So that’s all that matters.”

Does the company culture at Booleans play a role in your ability to do all these activities?

“Yes. It’s a myth that if you start working in a service-based company, they are always on your top, you won’t have any personal life, and you’ll be continuously working 12 hours or more.
With my time at Booleans, I know that the whole team is so concerned about your personal health as well, and they try to support you in every possible way. There are times I had to finish work, but I scheduled it in a way that I could go for a swim, and then come back and finish. And that’s how I can schedule my day.”

You organized a Bhangra dance workshop for the team. What was that experience like?

“My idea was to push them into a healthy lifestyle, and this dance style, Bhangra, is a very high-intensity cardio workout!
At the same time, it was like a team-bonding activity because we all had a good laugh looking at each other. As a ’teacher,’ the best thing was to see everybody trying, even if they had no idea about it. When you see your students doing their best… that happiness is something that you cannot just measure. It makes you feel blessed to have such a healthy family with you.”

How does Booleans support your growth?

“We have regular honest conversations with management about our development. We discuss what is going well and what can be improved, and together we set personal goals.

For example, I wanted to improve how I communicate with non-technical audiences. Booleans supported me with training in storytelling and messaging, and colleagues shared their own best practices. They really invest in helping you grow not just as a consultant, but as a professional overall.”

A project you are proud of

“One of my first projects. Initially, I was doing repetitive technical work that did not challenge me. But instead of accepting it, I suggested a new approach to the client. Over time, they trusted me to redesign processes, automate repetitive tasks and bring in more Booleans consultants. Today, that team is thriving and adding real value, not just copy-pasting. For me, that project showed the power of thinking differently and sticking to what you believe is right for the client.”
