Meet Omar,
one of our Principal Consultants

Omar has been part of Booleans for nearly two years and quickly made his mark as a Principal Consultant. With a strong background in Identity and Access Management, he brings both deep technical expertise and a fresh perspective on how to guide projects and people. What stands out in his story is the trust and freedom he experiences at Booleans, the ownership he takes in his work, and the way he helps colleagues grow. In this interview, Omar shares what makes his role unique, how he experiences the culture at Booleans, and why this is the right place for ambitious professionals who want to think outside the box.

What do you do as a Principal Consultant at Booleans?

“At Booleans I experience something I haven’t seen anywhere else: complete trust and freedom. Nobody is checking over my shoulder or asking when I’ll deliver. Instead, I set my own goals, define my own strategies, and manage projects in the way I believe works best. That freedom allows me to grow professionally and take true ownership of my work. As a Principal Consultant I design and lead complex IAM architectures, define roadmaps, and align business goals with technical solutions in areas like Workforce and Customer Identity, Access Governance, Privileged Access Management and Zero Trust.”

What kind of person fits this role?

“This role is not for everyone. You need to enjoy being self-managed, curious and proactive. Some people are excellent executors, but here you need to think outside the box, create your own vision and drive projects forward. If you want to grow, develop your own ideas and bring a different perspective to clients, then this is the place for you.”

Do you have colleagues to spar with when challenges come up?

“Absolutely. Within our workforce IAM team we are very open and honest. If someone is stuck, they speak up and most of the time we solve it together. And if not, we can always ask colleagues from other teams or management for support. The willingness to help each other is strong across the whole company. You are never left alone with a problem.”

What is most challenging and exciting about your work?

“As a Principal Consultant it is not just about executing projects. You are also encouraged to build connections and explore new opportunities with clients. For me, that was outside my comfort zone because I used to focus purely on technical delivery. But now I get to strengthen relationships, continue conversations with clients I have worked with before and show them the honest way we work at Booleans. It is both challenging and exciting, and I really enjoy it. What makes it even more rewarding is that the solutions we deliver at Booleans contribute to a safer digital society, which means our work has a real impact beyond just the client — it touches people and organizations in everyday life.”

How would you describe the company culture?

“Booleans does not feel like a big corporation. There is no internal competition or stress like you find in large companies. Instead, everyone is evaluated individually, which means helping a colleague succeed only improves the team as a whole.

It feels close to a family culture. Colleagues stay in touch outside of work, we enjoy team activities like our training weekends or dinners where we share food from different cultures. It is professional, but also personal and supportive. You feel connected here.”

What does flexibility at Booleans mean to you?

“One of the best things for me personally is flexibility. Booleans does not force me to be in the office from 9 to 5. I can plan my own schedule and still be there for my family, whether it is a doctor’s appointment for my kids or helping at school. As long as deadlines are met, there is complete trust. That balance is priceless.”

How does Booleans support your growth?

“We have regular honest conversations with management about our development. We discuss what is going well and what can be improved, and together we set personal goals.

For example, I wanted to improve how I communicate with non-technical audiences. Booleans supported me with training in storytelling and messaging, and colleagues shared their own best practices. They really invest in helping you grow not just as a consultant, but as a professional overall.”

A project you are proud of

“One of my first projects. Initially, I was doing repetitive technical work that did not challenge me. But instead of accepting it, I suggested a new approach to the client. Over time, they trusted me to redesign processes, automate repetitive tasks and bring in more Booleans consultants. Today, that team is thriving and adding real value, not just copy-pasting. For me, that project showed the power of thinking differently and sticking to what you believe is right for the client.”
